We felt it too! From New Tazewell, LaFollette, Louisville, and Powell all felt and heard an earthquake on Monday.
According to the United States Geological Survey, a 3.8 magnitude earthquake hit just after 2 p.m. near Fincastle, Tennessee, in Campbell County.
USGS is asking locals “to contribute to citizen science” by reporting where they felt the event. Click here to file a report.
Everyone was quick to react on social media on the matter. East Tennessee was even trending after the earthquake.
Yes, I was standing in my 2nd floor bonus room when the whole house started to shake. I live on S. Northshore Drive near Bluegrass.

Felt it in Parkridge. Shook the pictures on our walls and even woke one of the cats. Just one, though.
