Many graduating seniors will not get the chance to walk across the stage and receive that hard-earned degree or diploma in front of those who helped them along the way. So, the Tennessee Lottery is giving those students a “Moment to Shine.”
This initiative is to give the Class of 2020 a bigger stage and the opportunity to share a graduation message or “thank you” to their family, friends, and school administrators.
“Calling all graduating Tennessee seniors. Due to the unexpected challenges that this year has brought upon us, we know that you won’t be able to walk in your graduation ceremony in front of those who have helped you get there. We’d like to do our part to offer you your moment to shine! We’re compiling videos sharing kind messages, thanking parents, friends, etc., to share on our social channels and possibly, broadcast television,” says the TN Lottery entry page.
The TN Lottery has funded nearly 1.5 million scholarships and grants that have been awarded to students across Tennessee.
