Tim Burton’s movie ‘Big Fish,’ (2003), took us to a fictional town called Spectre, Alabama. This fictional town was made for the movie and once the movie was completed the town remained. Of course, if you haven’t seen the movie you may stumble upon this town and think it’s just an abandoned area.

Though the buildings weren’t actual buildings, just a prop. The fictional town of Spectre is open to the public on Jackson Island.

According to Strange And Creepy, the current owners have plans to rebuild the location to replicate the movie. Though the set is not at all what it was, you can still see many things that remind you of the movie.
