Four Knoxville bridges will be undergoing routine inspections conducted by state officials next week.
According to WATE, on Monday, June 15, the Woodland Bridge over First Creek, the East Hill Avenue Bridge over James White Parkway, and the East Fifth Avenue Bridge over First Creek will be inspected.
The following day (Tuesday), state officials will be inspecting the Gay Street Bridge from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
You will want to plan accordingly for closures. The bridge will be closed to traffic at that time. However, if you ever wanted to snag a photo on the bridge or safely bike through, it will still be open to pedestrians and bicyclists.
The Gay Street Bridge will be closed one day next week for what the city of Knoxville is calling a routine inspection. https://t.co/t0vyWYnuQY
