After the announcement of the collab early January, the big release is here. Actor Jonah Hill teamed up with Adidas for a long-awaited collab of the Superstar Originals.
The shoe is a classic look, with a chunky skateboarding style, and “JH” along with “Superstar” stitching in Hill’s handwriting. There’s even a lion embroidered on the back of the shoe tongue which is similar to one of his tattoos.
Hill said, “I started thinking back to all the experiences I had growing up while wearing [Superstars], and tried to make my fantasy version of what I would have wanted when I first wore them.” Hill, who wrote and directed the coming-of-age skate culture film Mid-90s, opts for a bold and pronounced Three Stripes on the mid-panels and thick laces — which have a heritage in the B-Boy scene of the ’80s as well as in skate culture.
The Jonah Hill x Adidas Originals Superstar will released on July 11 at adidas.com/jonah_hill .
