An invitation has made its way around the internet showing group categories for wedding guests.

Many people have made changes to their wedding ceremonies including venues limiting the number of guests who can attend due to COVID-19.

The viral invite reads, “Dear friends and family, please understand that our venue is limited in the number of guests we will be able to accommodate for our wedding day. As much as we would love to have each and every one of you join us on our big day, we are forced to split our guests into groups to ensure we do not surpass our capacity restrictions.”

Then it shows how the couple has grouped their guests into different categories displayed for all to see. Group A, who are their first-choice guests; Group B, who can attend if some Group A guests can’t; and Group C, who are the back-ups to the back-ups.

Some have made comments about the invites like, “Covid or not, being put into prioritized ‘groups’ and then telling everyone which group they’re in is rude,” and “I don’t want to attend a wedding that I’m only going to be invited to if someone else can’t.”

Would you be okay with this?
