Sam Levinson the filmmaker behind the HBO Max series “Euphoria”  and The Weeknds New series “The Idol” premiered a first look at the new series at the Cannes Film Festival.

Reports are the first two episodes that received a standing ovation from the audience.  However, it’s said that the show will be very seductive and is not meant for younger viewers.  IE: Sex, Drugs, and nudity.  Levinson also commented saying that “The Idol” takes place in the same universe as his other hit show on HBO Max Euphoria.  The groundbreaking show brought to light multiple problems that young adults are faced with today.
