Barbie does gangbusters at the box office. Saturday afternoon there were reports that the new Barbie movie was making a big splash. After just three days in theatres, the new Barbie movie was projected to have over $151 million. The results are in and in its opening weekend the movie grossed $154 Million in the US and $337 Million worldwide. Barbie is aslso breaking the record for the largest-grossing movie by a woman director.
“I’ve been doing this for 35 years. This is one of the most unique experiences I’ve ever had,” says Warner Bros. president of global marketing.
