Attendees of the so-called “Bridgerton Ball Scam” in Detroit have come forward to disclose their disappointment and the series of unfortunate events they endured during the event. The ball, which was marketed as an immersive experience inspired by the hit Netflix series Bridgerton, fell drastically short of expectations.

Several people spoke with WXYZ Detroit saying that they were promised a royal dinner, classical music, dancing, a play, and a $2,000 cash prize for the best dressed costume. Instead, guests were met with poor organization, underwhelming presentations, long lines for undercooked food, and a stripper on a pole as the entertainment. All of which contributed to their dismal experience.

The attendees’ frustration has reached a point where a class action lawsuit is now on the horizon. As more details emerge about this ill-fated event, it’s clear that those who attended feel significantly misled and are seeking recourse. People paid anywhere from $150 to $1000 for tickets.

There’s even an entire Reddit thread about the failed event where people who attended are venting about their shared experience.
