According to Krispy Kreme “there’s something sweet in the neighborhood this Halloween,” and it’s not the candy… It’s their new Ghostbusters collection!
The doughnuts are available for purchase now, through October 31st, and come in four flavors and designs:
- Ghostbusters Cookies N’ Creme Doughnut made with OREO® – an Original Glazed® doughnut dipped in chocolate icing, topped with OREO® pieces, a dollop of buttercreme with OREO® and a No Ghost logo candy.
- Slimer Doughnut – an unglazed doughnut filled with lemon flavored green filling, dipped in purple and green icing with a Slimer candy.
- Ecto-Sprinkled Doughnut – an Original Glazed® doughnut dipped in orange colored icing and sprinkled with neon sprinkles.
- Stay Puft Marshmallow Man Doughnut Pull-Apart – Original Glazed® Doughnut Dots with powdered topping, topped with marshmallow flavored buttercreme and a Stay Puft Marshmallow Man candy.
These doughnuts are so cute they’re almost too cute to eat… ALMOST.
You’ll also be able to buy the Ghostbusters collection as a 6-count assortment box at participating grocery stores, including Kroger, Walmart, and Publix.
To sweeten things up even more, on October 31st, anyone who goes into a Krispy Kreme store wearing a Halloween costume will get a free Original Glazed doughnut, no purchase necessary.
The doughnut chain is celebrating the 40th anniversary of Ghostbusters, so in addition to the doughnuts, they’re also selling a new drink, the Slimer’s Slime-ade in a signature ectoplasm green.
“Yes it’s true, these treats are no trick. When it comes to Halloween this year, you know who to call,” said Dave Skena, Global Chief Brand Officer for Krispy Kreme.
