The extent some people go for social media likes is not only crazy, but potentially very dangerous.
A group of friends in India were having a picnic when they noticed a leopard nearby. Instead of leaving it be, they called it over so they can get a selfie with it. It quickly turned into a shocking spectacle when instead of posing for pictures, the leopard shot towards them, reminding everyone that wild animals don’t care much for your Instagram feed.
As the leopard sprinted towards them, the initial laughter transitioned into panic as it attacked a man in the group (shown in the video below). This frightening incident led to three individuals suffering injuries and being hospitalized, although the severity of their wounds remains unspecified.
Authorities have now stepped in, urging folks to steer clear of the woods and reconsider their strategies for getting a great wildlife shot.
This wild episode serves as an eye-opening reminder of the fine line between excitement and danger in the great outdoors. Next time you’re tempted to entice wildlife for a snap, maybe stick to the safety of a zoo—at least those fences are there for a reason! After all, we all want a picture with a wild animal, but not one that involves getting a bit too close for comfort.
TMZ released the video of the scary incident.
