While canceling a wedding to spite your mother in law seems extreme, I can see this bride’s point. They didn’t want a big wedding in the first place, and her Mother in law demanded they invite people who they didn’t want there (and told them those people had already bought plane tickets and booked hotels). So the bride canceled the wedding and she and her fiancé got married in a national park with just their best friends instead.
