Jessica Vincent of Virginia made the thrift store find of a lifetime!!
Earlier this year, she purchased a glass vase from a local Goodwill for $3.99, and she suspected the vase had come from Venice and might be “a $1,000 or $2,000 piece.” She was wrong – the red-and-green vase turned out to be the work of famous Italian architect Carlo Scarpa, and was recently auctioned off for a whopping $107,000.
I know a lot of people that thrift for resale (okay a few) but I’ve never heard of anyone scoring THAT big. That is crazy. Makes me want to get back into the thrifting game.
Also…. how did someone donate this vase? HUGE MISTAKE.
