4 Red Flags In Job Interviews

Have you ever walked into a job interview and thought, “Hang on, I don’t wanna work here”?  LinkedIn posted an H.R. guru’s list of signs the place you’re applying to is a TOXIC WORKPLACE.

Here are a few red flags she says to look out for . . .

1.  The whole interview process seems overly long and complicated.  It’s a sign they’re not very organized.  And if they don’t value your time now, they probably won’t once you’re hired.

2.  They can’t tell you exactly what you’ll be doing.  It’s a sign you’ll be wearing lots of hats and doing stuff that’s outside your job description.

3.  The interviewer bad mouths the company, the boss, or past employees.  It’s a sign morale is low, or there’s a lack of trust in general.

4.  They heavily emphasize how much of a “family” they are.  It can be a sign the work-life balance is bad, and they expect you to work long hours for a “love of the company.”  It can also mean raises don’t come very often.

WOW^ These are tips to live by. You know we have all been in interviews where something doesn’t seem quite right. If you ever notice any of these, it may be a reason to ask more questions, or politely decline their offer.
