Over the weekend it was reported that there was an error with Team USA gymnast Jordan Chiles’s individual score, stripping her of her bronze medal. Team USA’s coach Cecile Landi filed an inquiry into the difficulty of one of Chiles’ moves. The judges agreed with that inquiry. So, they bumped Chiles’ score from 13.666 to 13.766 awarding Chiles the Bronze Medal. The next day Romania’s Ana Barbosu Team filed another inquiry stating that Team USA did not deliver their inquiry to the judges in the allotted time stated in the rules of the Olympics so Romania should get the Bronze. Now the tables have turned again with Team USA submitting video evidence with a time stamp during the competition, confirming Team USA’s inquiries were placed within the rules of competition. Will Chiles receive the Bronze or will it go to Romania?
