It’s very rare for Coca-Cola to add a new permanent flavor to their lineup. Original, Diet, Cherry, and Cherry Vanilla are the only flavors you’ll find all the time. So it was big news when the company announced they would be adding a new one: Coca-Cola Spiced. However, after less than a year, it’s already being phased out.
The beverage company confirmed the news to USA Today. Spiced was introduced in February and described as “raspberry and spiced flavors.” Coca-Cola introduced the new flavor in an effort to target a younger demographic. They didn’t specifically state low sales as the reason to discontinue the product, but rather taking customer feedback.

A spokesperson confirmed that an “exciting new flavor” will be revealed in 2025.
According to CNN, Coca-Cola had chosen raspberry as the main ingredient for Spiced because it
…was selected more than 5 million times on its Freestyle drink machines in 2022, which the company “often uses for inspiration” for new flavors, according to Sue Lynne Cha, the company’s vice president of marketing for North America.
