Game night is now forever changed.
If you’ve ever played Monopoly then it’s likely caused fights with those who you’re playing with, and Hasbro just made things even more contentious with their newest version of the classic board game — Board Crawl — a Monopoly drinking game!
First of its kind, Board Crawl is for people 21+ and will be played just like the original game except you’ll land on spaces like a dance floor, nightclub, rooftop bar, dive bar, and even a VIP section. Each space you land on will come with its own set of challenges, and just like the original the objective is to collect the most properties.
The biggest difference between regular Monopoly and Monopoly Board Crawl is the added drinking component. If you’re looking to buy property or pay rent, players can settle their debts by taking sips of their beverages instead. And for the adventurous, property theft also comes with a fun dare (via Delish).
The back of the box claims that there’s “no money, no bankruptcy, no board flipping.” The board flipping is to be determined, because people get very passionate about Monopoly, so throw in drunk people into the mix, anything goes.
One of the other notable differences is that this game is designed to go quick, lasting about 30 minutes.
