Middays/Promotions Director on Star 102.1
A Texan in Tennessee! I’m a proud AMERICAN with some Italian, Russian and English blood.
Growing up, my Dad was always playing his guitar and singing, or jamming out to the classics. Thus began my passion for music and I knew I wanted to work in the entertainment industry some day. I was a Radio/ TV & Film major at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX (pronounced Nack-o-doe-chez), and then got my start in radio at 104.1 KRBE in Houston! Now I’m a STAR at 102.1 here in Knoxville and thrilled to be here!
Life is for living and I’m willing to try (almost) anything once! I love music and movies and TV and reading and sports and food and theater and art and pop culture and shopping and animals and rainbows and butterflies, AND you get the point! I’m looking forward to doing tons of “outdoorsy” things here in East Tennessee! I also use exclamation points too much!
Seriously though, I love being able to make a difference through the power of radio. In Texas I hosted my own public affairs show and was an active voice for causes in the community. I’m especially proud of the work I did for the Houston Area Women’s Center, and raising awareness about domestic violence. I encourage all women to learn self-defense (I took 4 years of Krav Maga). I am pro-gay rights, have a soft spot for animals, and support the arts! I look forward to becoming a “Volunteer” here in East Tennessee.
